It’s about that time again! Here are 15 social media topics for the month of January to kick off your new year.

  1. With the New Year, comes time for resolutions. Ask your fans and followers what their resolutions are and how they are keeping up with them.

  5. In light of National Blood Donor Month, find out where there are blood drives happening in your community and promote them via Facebook and Twitter.

  6. Remind your fans and followers to review their insurance policies for the New Year. Promote bundling and ways to save to catch their eye.

  7. January is National Thank You Month. Thank your social media fans and followers for their support and business.

  8. January 14 is National Dress Up Your Pet Day. This is a great excuse to hold a friendly competition. Ask fans and followers to dress up their pet, take a picture and tag you on social media. The picture with the most “likes” can win a gift card!

  12. January 24 is National Compliment Day. Make it a point to compliment your fans and followers to thank them for their support.

  14. Now that the season for winter sports has arrived, drum up some friendly competition by asking your fans and followers which activity they prefer: skiing or snowboarding? You could also offer some tips for picking the right travel insurance policy if followers will be traveling to the slopes this winter season.

  15. Insurance #TipTuesday: It is important to ensure you clean snow off of your roof (or have it cleaned), especially if more than a foot of heavy, wet snow and ice have accumulated.
