As an agent, you may be educated in policies, procedures, and claims, but how are your Twitter skills? By now, you know that having an online presence is essential to your own internet marketing success—and this includes getting on board with Twitter. Whether you are just starting off, struggling to keep up, or are simply looking for inspiration, these 50 quick Twitter tips will be useful!

1. Choose an easy to read Twitter handle that clearly reflects your agency (ex: ABCInsAgency)
2. Upload an actual picture of the person tweeting—much more personal than a logo
3. To brand, customize your background design with your logo, colors, etc. by going to Settings>Design
4. Add your website and contact information to your Profile by going to Settings and filling in the appropriate boxes
5. Use bitly.com to clean up and shorten long links, and measure click-throughs
6. Use #hashtags to reach a broader audience (#AutoInsurance)
7. Create your own weekly #hashtag to start a ritual with your fans and followers (#InsuranceTipTuesday)
