Truax, Managing Partner of Veritas Risk Services in Oak Brook, Ill., estimates that his agency has pitched their services to about 25 middle-market companies since opening their doors last January. Currently, Veritas is in the running to become the broker of record for 12 of them, a statistic Truax says is due, in large part, to their partnership with Zywave.
“We’ve had great prospecting success and the Zywave tools have been a big part of it,” said Doug, who utilizes BrokerageBuilder™, Broker Briefcase® BE, MyWave Elements™ and HRconnection®. “The Zywave products stand out as it is, but they’re especially prominent when we present to a prospect whose current broker isn’t doing much for them other than giving them renewal notices. These prospects are very impressed with what the products can do for them and amazed when we tell them they’re a value-added service; that’s a fun conversation to have.”
Doug recalls a recent prospect meeting when Veritas’ Zywave partnership proved particularly opportune. “The meeting went well and we followed up with the human resources manager by sending her a copy of the Broker Briefcase Benefits Bulletin,” he said. “The company had just hired an intern, who showed up for work on his first day without some important employment documentation. The manager didn’t know what to do, but then she turned to the bulletin and, as fate would have it, the information she needed to address the problem was right there. Zywave helped us come across as being very professional and attentive to their needs.”
