Are you ready for the spooky-scary month of October? Before you are frightened by the amount of blogging you should be tackling, read over this post. There are bound to be a few topics that you can incorporate into your blogging strategy!

#1: October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Perfect time for health and life insurance blog posts. You should consider writing about ways to lower the risk of breast cancer, how women should be checking themselves, etc.

#2: October is also National Diabetes Month. You may want to offer tips to lower the risk of diabetes, discuss health insurance options, etc.

#3: Ah, fall fruits and vegetables are delicious. Also, do not forget about delicious fall beverages such as apple cider and tea. For an interesting health insurance post, you should discuss the health benefits of these items!

#4: The second week of October is Fire Prevention week. Be sure to discuss the main causes of home fires, tips to avoid fires, statistics, etc.

#5: Once the leaves begin to fall, you can blog about yard maintenance. Keeping up with home maintenance is important, especially when it comes to avoid claims made on home insurance.

#6: Are your clients carving jack lanterns with their little ones this year? Remember to blog about carving safety to keep injuries to a minimum (great for liability and health insurance posts.)

#7: National Work from Home Week is in October. This is your chance to blog about working from home and how it will affect business insurance.

#8: Halloween is right around the corner! You should blog about tips for homeowners to prepare their yard for trick-or-treaters. Good opportunity to discuss the possibility of liability claims.

The fall is not only a wonder time of year, but a perfect chance to tackle new blog topics. So what are you waiting for? It’s time to get started!
