Before you know it, February will be among us. As always and as promised, the Zywave Insurance Bloggers have ten blog posts that will keep your editorial calendars full, exciting, and relevant.

#1: February is American Heart Month. Educate your readers on heart disease and how one can prevent it. After all, it is the leading cause of death for both men and women.

#2: Did the groundhog see its shadow? If he sees his shadow, six more weeks of winter it is—write a winter-inspired post, such as “Safe Driving in Wintery Conditions.” If he does not and spring is near, celebrate with a spring-related post! In this case, maybe write one on “How to Prepare Your Car for Spring Weather.”

#3: February 10th is Umbrella Day! We encourage you to write a post about Umbrella Insurance. Include the what and why.

#4: February 17th is Random Acts of Kindness Day. Make it a point to celebrate within the office. Share all acts of kindness in a blog post and post it to your Facebook page. Ask fans and followers to share their acts, too!

#5: Valentine’s Day posts are highly relevant. Ideas include: Gift ideas for him/her, the health benefits of dark chocolate, fun date ideas, a review of the best romantic movies and novels, etc.

#6: INSURANCE POLICY POST for the month of love: The Importance of a Life Insurance Policy for Your Family

#7: Is your agency doing anything for National Canned Food Month? Why not hold a canned food drive at your agency? You can promote these efforts via blogging AND social media. BONUS: You can write a SECOND blog post once the drive has ended to show everyone the results!

#8: February 20th is Love Your Pet Day, and will tie in quite nicely with a pet liability insurance keyword.

#9: February is National Weddings Month, making it the perfect time to showcase your Wedding Insurance package for newlyweds.
