Between the holidays, vacations, and afternoon golf games, summer is probably the hardest time of year to stick to a consistent marketing calendar. We have done some of the blogging and social media legwork for you already, but we didn’t want you to neglect your email marketing plan either. The good thing is, you can use emails to market your agency and to help you sell insurance – killing two birds with one stone! Here are a few insurance-related email marketing topics you may want to consider this season:
Wedding Insurance – Summer has earned the title of official wedding season. With so much to do to prepare, most couples don’t want to consider negative circumstances beyond their control ruining the big day. What if flooding puts the seaside venue under water or the best man loses the ring minutes before the ceremony? Luckily, the right wedding insurance plan should put any bride and groom’s minds at ease!
Vacation Home & Car Insurance – Summer is also a good time to make sure your customers are properly covered when they go on vacation. Is your agency located in a seasonal town, or are you licensed in several different states? If so, now is the perfect time to let your clients and prospects know you can protect their vacation homes and cars no matter where they spend the warmer months!
Umbrella Insurance – Although you may already be insuring your customers’ homes and vehicles, summer is the perfect time to cross-sell your accounts by offering umbrella insurance. Perhaps your customer put in a new pool this year, their kids’ play basketball in their driveway with their friends during school break, or they got a new dog that hasn’t been trained yet. These are just a few examples of the many reasons why your customers might need to purchase additional liability insurance in the summer.
Golf Course Insurance – It seems that golfing and selling insurance tend to go hand-in-hand, for whatever reason. The great thing about that is you can collect insurance prospects while you’re in the clubhouse. If you frequent a local country club, make sure to ask for the owner’s contact information and hopefully you will be selling them golf course insurance soon!
