Now that spring has finally arrived, people are going to come out of their cocoons and want to get active. Your agency has the opportunity to reach these people with your social media. Here are some ideas for April to get you started:
- The spring brings out the biggest chore holiday of the year: Spring Cleaning! Share some tips and links to help people clean out their winter hoards.

- The spring sports season will be in full swing. Support your local teams and youth leagues with your social media accounts, and share some local stores that can help your child get the sporting equipment he or she needs as part of Youth Sports Safety Month.
- Speaking of spring sports, Major League Baseball is back underway. Use your social media to root, root, root for your home team.
- Did you know April is National Poetry Month? Take the time to bust a rhyme on your social accounts.
- Insurance #TipTuesday idea: Look over your home insurance policy before you have people over for the spring holidays.
- If your schools have April break, share some activities, camps, and other destinations parents can bring their kids to keep them busy.
- Are your followers starting to plan their summer vacation? Provide some local camps your children can go to in order to make the most out of their summer.
- #WhipItUpWednesday idea: With the Easter Bunny hopping its way into town, share a creative way to make hard-boiled eggs, and safe ways to paint them once they are cooked.
- Landscaping is back in season, so promote your floral partners to your followers, and share the best spots to get great plants.
- Now that lakes and rivers are flowing again, it is time to remind your followers of boating safety once they take their ladies out on the water.
- With sunny days and beautiful weather, focusing on your work will be hard. Give your followers some tips on how to stay focused at work, and how to keep their kids focused at school.
- April is also Stress Awareness Month, so give your followers some stress relieving pointers.
- Insurance #FactFriday idea: Approximately 30 percent of households do not have life insurance. Also, try to direct them to your life insurance page.
- Finally, April has a lot of great causes your agency can support with your social media. For instance, April is National Parkinson’s Disease Month, April 12-18 is National Volunteer Week, and April 2 is World Autism Day.
