March isn’t too far away, meaning it is about that time to update your editorial blogging calendar. As promised, we have 10 ideas to share with you:
#1: March is National Nutrition Month. How about a blog series? Find four health topics to tackle and post one each week. You can tease your ideas via social media to keep your readers coming back for more information. Topics may include everything from the best superfoods to health insurance 101.
#2: March is Employee Spirit Month. This is a great opportunity to showcase the personality at your agency! Feature employee spotlights on your blog, as well as any pictures that could give insight to your agency.
#3: March 6th is Dentist’s Day. If your agency offers dental insurance, this would be the day to promote the product!
#4: It is only appropriate to focus a post on umbrella insurance during National Umbrella Month. Topic: 3 Reasons Why You Should Get Under an Umbrella
#5: March is National Red Cross Month. This could make for a great local post. Thank your local Red Cross for their continuous efforts during disastrous times.
#6: St. Patrick’s Day is March 17th and there is a ton that you can do with this topic. You can write a post about the history of the holiday. You could also take the safety route, providing tips for safe parties, safe driving, etc. Drinking and Driving is a huge concern on this day, so a post about it would be beneficial.
#7: The week of March 17-21 is known as Flood Safety Awareness Week. Turn to the official FEMA website for flooding tips and advice. Share compelling statistics in your content, as well.
#8: Is the weather looking up in your area? Now is a great time to start teasing spring topics. For example, write a post on how to prepare your car for spring weather ahead.
#9: March 29th is National Mom and Pop Business Owners Day. If your agency specializes in offering business insurance to mom and pop shops, or family-owned businesses, you should take full advantage of this observance.
#10: Allergy season is on its way. Get ahead by sharing health tips and tricks with your readers.
