As summer comes to a close, you may be feeling a little down in the dumps. While we cannot bring the summer back for you, we CAN bring you an editorial calendar to kick off the month of September! There are plenty of interesting blog posts that can be written this month. Are you ready to hear more?

#1: Insurance Post: Remind your clients and readers to put those summer toys away from the season—the right way. Provide tips, tricks, and pointers about insuring them.

#2: Labor Day. Just one last summer celebration! This means one last post about cookout and grilling safety.

#3: National Baby Safety Month. Offer tips for first-time parents or simply…parents! This can be linked to liability issues, too.

#4:Hi ho, hi ho, it’s back to school kids go! Or in some cases, back to college teens go! If this is the case, you may want to remind clients to check-in on their teen’s auto insurance policy. He or she may be eligible for a low-mileage discount.

#5: It’s National Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month AND National Prostate Cancer Awareness Month. These would both make a great health posts. Be sure to include facts, statistics, prevention methods, and more.

#6: Self Improvement Month. This could be a fun post! There are plenty of ways to improve in areas of life. Whether you choose to take a business or personal approach, this will make a killer blog post.

#7: Insurance Post: Need an auto insurance-related post? The leaves will be turning and falling before you know it. This calls for a safe fall driving post!

#8: September 22nd is Business Women’s Day. Give thanks to all the hard working ladies out there in a post! You may want to even add a personal touch by specifically pointing out the ladies that work for your agency. Give small bios and include a picture for a behind the scenes look!

#9: Looking to appeal to your lady clients? Write up a post about fall home decorating. Tips and tricks will be much appreciated.

#10: Pollution Prevention Week is the third week of September. This year, it falls between the 15th and 21st. Share ways to reduce pollution, whether at home or in the workplace.

Waste no time—pick a topic and start writing! Or if you are feeling extra ambitious, make your way through this list of topics for two posts a week. Happy blogging!

  1. I love this list, great breakdown!

Can’t wait for #9 I need to freshen up my home decore. If anyone has recommendations for a shoe string budget I’m all ears.

    Keep up the great work!
