The beginning of the year is a great time to kick off new marketing strategies for your business. One “resolution” you might want to make is to start an email marketing calendar. In case you’re not sure where to begin, I have put together a few ideas on what to include in a winter email calendar.
Newsletters
An email newsletter is an excellent way to share valuable information, agency updates, and fun tidbits with your clients on a monthly, quarterly, or yearly basis. Think a newsletter is a great idea, but not sure what to write? If you’re an Zywave customer, check out the Winter Quarterly Newsletters under System Templates in your VPC! You can even customize the content for your particular agency.
“Life Changes” Emails
You’re probably not the only one making resolutions this January. You may have clients who decided to stop smoking or started going to the gym. Informing your customers of possible discounts on their health insurance policies may give them the extra incentive they need to stick to their plan this time around!
February is known as “National Weddings Month” since there are so many Valentine’s Day nuptials. Most people don’t realize that when big life changes come along, they need to update their insurance coverage too. Send out a “life changes” email to let your clients know they should add “update insurance” to their to-do list!
Birthday Emails
If you are an Zywave customer, I’m sure you have the Birthday Campaign turned on. That’s great! But, have you thought about the Leap Year babies? On February 28th, consider sending a Happy Birthday email to everyone with a February 29th birthday. Someone who only has their special day come along every four years is sure to appreciate the attention!
Agency Spotlight Emails
With Employee Appreciation Day and National Salesperson Day both on March 6th, winter is the perfect time to let your customers get to know your employees. Consider highlighting your hard-working employees, and don’t forget to thank your customers too. You couldn’t do it without them!
This kind of email is perfect for multi-channel marketing; why not post employee pictures and bios on your social media sites and website too?
